OO & ASSOCIATES 

OOA was formed amongst three (3) certified public accountants sometime in July 1996. All of the partners have extensive work experiences in private and public practice prior to forming the partnership. Due to the increasing number of clients, and to satisfactorily serve them, a number of qualified CPAs were admitted to the partnership from 2005 up to present. 

Employing the competence of around 100+ personnel, a majority of which are CPAs, the firm offers a wide range of services including but not limited to audit and assurance, business support, management advisory services, tax planning and consultations, processing of documentary requirements with various government agencies and others. 

The firm has satisfactorily complied with all the registration requirements, the rules and regulations of the Board of Accountancy of the Philippines (BOA CRN 1023). It also has gained an accreditation with the Securities and Exchange Commission as an auditing firm (SEC AN 0064-F). Likewise, its partners have valid certificates of accreditation as tax practitioner with the Bureau of Internal Revenue. 

The firm is also accredited by the Insurance Commission to do statutory audit for licensed Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers (Accreditation No. 041-F). The Monetary Board of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), in its Resolution No. 1054 dated September 20, 2007, approved the inclusion of the firm in the BSP List of Selected External Auditors which may be engaged by rural banks, local cooperative banks and non-stock savings and loans associations for regular or special engagement.

Ricardo Ong

Senior Partner

Ric is a career executive with extensive experience in banking, finance and realty. He is at present the Chief Finance Officer of Extraordinary Development Corporation, one of the country’s leading developers. Prior to his stint in the said company, he spent more than nine years of his professional life in banking, rising to the position Bank Manager of Metrobank, the country’s leading bank. 

He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. He graduated from the University of the East with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, major in Accounting. He took up his Masteral Degree at the University of Asia and the Pacific. He also took up a short course on international housing finance module conducted by Wharton School of Housing University of Pennsylvania, USA. He also attended a course in finance for senior executives (first batch) conducted by the Asian Institute of Management.

Wilfredo Uy

Managing Partner

Fred used to be connected with Extraordinary Development Corporation as head of its Customer Management, the group tasked to monitor clients’ account status. Later, he was assigned to head its Financial Accounting Section. Before joining Extraordinary, he was the accountant of Golay Buchel Philippines Incorporated, a Swiss manufacturing corporation. 

He is a Certified Public Accountant having obtained his degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Accounting from De La Salle University.

Maila M. Paredes

Partner

Prior to her admission to the partnership in 2005, Mai has gained her five-year auditing experience from SGV & Company, CPAs. She established the Internal Audit Department in Extraordinary Development Corporation where she served as Internal Audit Manager for almost six years. She also has rendered Project Consultancy to BPO International Inc. 

Mai graduated from Polytechnic University of the Philippines as Cum Laude in April 1991. She passed the CPA board exam in October of the same year. She has also completed the eight-month Executive Training Program Batch 2 sponsored by EDC for a selected group of company junior officers in 1999.

Laarni M. Aquino

Partner

Arni started her auditing career when she was employed by the firm in 2007. During her stay, she has handled various positions from audit associate to audit manager in 6 years. Those provided her with profound understanding and experience in audit. She was then invited to be the firms’ Junior Partner in 2013. Prior to her employment with the firm, she used to be Comptroller at Royal Accent Group of Companies for 4 years. 

Arni graduated as Cum Laude in March 2002 from Polytechnic University of the Philippines and passed the CPA board exam in October of the same year.

Domingo S. Vitales Jr.

Partner

Jayar was hired by the firm and started his audit career in June 2006. He handled various clients and positions from Audit Associate to Audit Manager. After more than nine (9) years of deep understanding and humbling experience in audit, he was promoted by the firm to Junior Partner in 2016. 

Jayar graduated in April 2005 from Central Luzon State University (CLSU) and passed the CPA board exam in May 2006.

Junabelle M. Angeles

Partner

Junabellestarted in the firm as junior auditor in December 2015. She held various positions and then promoted as Junior Partner of the firm in May 2022.

Junabelle graduated in April 2015 as Cum Laude from Batangas State University ARASOF Campus and passed the CPA Board Examination in October of the same year.
